Dance Equipment / Ballet Barres

Barres, turned from
solid timber.

Floor-mounted, wall-mounted and freestanding ballet barres, made in-house in Preston from powdercoated steel and 45mm Tasmanian Oak dowel. Every bracket is load-tested beyond the Australian standard, so the barre holds up to stretch and resistance work, class after class. Single or double, black or white, cut to the length of your room.

Questions

Good to know.

Single or double barre?

A double barre adds a lower rail for younger or shorter dancers - 870 mm on the floor-mounted double, or 180 mm below the top rail on the wall-mounted double. A single barre sits at the standard 1050 mm.

What height are the barres?

Mounted barres are set at a standard 1050 mm to the top rail. The freestanding portable barre is fully height-adjustable from 700 mm for the smallest dancer up to 1050 mm.

What are they made of?

Powdercoated steel brackets and bases, made in Preston in black or white, with a 45 mm Tasmanian Oak dowel that is triple-sanded and finished three times with Danish oil.

Can you install them?

Installation is available across the Melbourne metro area, and we deliver Australia wide. Wall brackets mount to any solid surface, spaced 1.2 to 1.8 metres apart.

How long a barre can I have?

Tasmanian Oak dowel comes in 1800, 2400 and 3600 mm lengths and can be pre-cut to fit your room. The portable studio base supports a barre long enough for up to four dancers.

Are they strong enough for resistance work?

Yes. Every bracket is load-tested and exceeds the Australian standard, which makes the barres suited to stretch classes and resistance work.

Kitting out a studio?

Tell us the room and the dancers, and we will spec the barres, cut the dowel and finish them to match.
