Another set build, another day at Show Works. The scenery for Hot Shoe Shuffle is being loaded out on Friday. After a 5 week build using high quality techniques the scenery items are being packed down into manageable sizes.
To build the scenery, CNC routing was used as well as high quality set building techniques such as carpentry, metal fabrication and scenic painting. Show Works also engaged the services of Navasques Upholstery to provide gorgeous vinyl finishing to the Band Stand truck unit. The sets crowning glory is the lighting supplied by Prodigious Concepts. Using state of the art lighting equipment, Hot Shoe Shuffle is really going to razzle dazzle!
Show Works were rapt to be able to supply one of their high quality ballet barres to one of the set pieces. The dance studio truck unit could almost be a candidate for one of Show Works high quality sprung dance floors. Either Biltflor or Sprungfloor by Show Works would do the trick!
On a more serious note, Show Works are delighted to be working with TLC productions on Hot Shoe Shuffle. Their technical manager Frank Harlow has been extremely helpful and accommodating under tight time lines and Eammon Darcy the designer has been a pleasure to work with.
Good luck to Hot Shoe Shuffle in celebrating its 20th year!
